I like a nice slant nose.But I dunnot about a slant tail. The shape is a bit too truncated. The front isn’t bad… obviously inspired but not copied from early 356 era Porsches.But the side is far too busy, and the back is too tapered downward.But I am glad to see the 914 chassis getting attention. it is a nice platform, under a body that doesn’t show it.But I like the ItalDesign Tapiro or Hispano-Aleman one-offs, based on the 914.And if they had the converted WRX STI drivetrain like the SDI WR3, with the RWD lateral converted 6MT transaxle… That would be even better… 300+ watercooled, turbocharged horsepower.

I’ve long had a plan to graft a 968 onto a 951 (944 Turbo) for a while.944’s more angular quarter windows and tail panel, and turbo’s under-spoiler, but 968’s slant nose with shark-eye lay-back headlights… The two bodystyles meeting at the middle of the body, around the B-pillar, with 968 side skirts.Put a 2.8-3.0 built inline 4, with 16 valve Variocam head, AND turbocharged… Powerhaus gets well over 400hp turbocharing the 16 valve 3-liter engine. As well as 968’s 6-speed manual, 993 big-red brakes, and M030 suspension, with bilstein coil-overs, and late model Porsche wheels.

The substantially lighter body, in galvanized steel, takes weight down to 900 kilograms (1,980 pounds) while maintaining 50/50 weight distribution. There are six engine choices, from a basic 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 163 horsepower, to a 2.5-liter four-pot S-motor with a turbo. That one will get you 250 horsepower, and from 0 to 60 in six seconds. Top speed is limited to 250 kilometers per hour (155 miles per hour).

You can buy the car as a kit or a finished product, and prices start at €14,750 ($20,798 U.S.) for the kit, or €36,995 ($52,158 U.S.) for a ready runner.
