The Porsche 911 Carrera S Centurion Edition is distinguished by matte black paint with blacked-out wheels, and an interior decked out in black leather, Alcantara and carbon fiber trim. It also includes the optional Sport Chrono pack and dual-clutch transmission. Throw in some special badges, but that’s about the extent of it. Each commands a very hefty HK$2 million (about a quarter million in equivalent American dollars), and only three will be made.

Hong Kong has a 100% sales tax so the car will cost 125k American dollars which is actually exceedingly good value for a Porsche Exclusive made limited edition car. I think it looks really cool – all black suits the 997 shape. I’ll swipe my card for it. Pity I don’t have a black card.

That’s how the time was made. I think that the Cayenne probably eats through rubber at a scary pace and I am pretty sure the performance comes with a very heafty cost hidden in frequent changes of tires. Drive it to it’s full potential and you’ll probably have to change them every 5000kms. There is always a penalty to pay for performance.I would have a cheaper diesel suv and the carrera 4s, for the same overall price and still enjoy lower running costs but to each his own, it’s a great car in it’s own way.

Porsche has announced the launch of a special edition 911 Carrera S Centurion Edition that celebrates the Centurion’s 10th anniversary. This special edition was unveiled in Hong Kong and it will be limited to only 3 units. The sports car is offered only for American Express Centurion members and card holders.
Until July 31, members will be able to place their orders for this special edition. Each units will be priced at $ 256,000, with all assets going to UNICEF.
